Experemental versions of the AEIO 540

Are there companies that make experemental versions of the lycoming engine that cost significantly less.

There are companies out there that sell their own versions of the Lycoming 540 (Aero Sport, Mattituck, etc.), but finding one that produces the aerobatic version of it might be a bit of a stretch.....
